• Trail of the Traiña Costa Mogán
It will be a busy Saturday in Arguineguín.
Trail of the Traiña Costa Mogán returns to the calendar of sporting events, in the southern commune, this Saturday and does so with new features.
The seventh edition of this event, organized by the Club Veredas Atauro, will offer a 9 kilometer race, which can be run conventionally and, for the first time, in a “family” format, that is, in pair made up of an adult and a minor between 10 and 14 years old. There will also be distances of 15, 27 and 42 kilometers, in which a hiking route is integrated.
The Traiña Trail Costa Mogán recorded more than 1000 participants in 2019 and, after a two-year break, the night running competition is back with all its modalities, including new ones like the 9 kilometers ‘Traiña Trail Familiar’ and the ‘Traiña Trail Senderismo’, consisting of 8 kilometers. The shortest distance race changes to 9 kilometers (instead of 8), then there will be a 15 kilometer race and a 27 kilometer distance (instead of 24 km).
The start line starts from Plaza Negra (market/parking) in Arguineguín and, for the first time, the finish line will be in Plaza Pérez Galdós, in front of the church. The 42 kilometer marathon changes its route to start from Las Marañuelas beach. Participants who will leave at 5:30 p.m.
