Mississippi Lime Hires Seelke as New Chief Security Officer | Local company

Mississippi Lime Company (MLC) has announced that Ryan Seelke is the new Chief Security Officer. It will focus on proactive risk-based security practices, leadership and training.

Prior to joining MLC, Seelke worked at Doe Run Company as a leader in their security department. Prior to this assignment, he owned and operated a private law firm specializing in mining safety law and consulting. He focused on creating risk-based safety cultures and programs in organizations.

“Security is of crucial importance. I consider security as a value and I chose to do so rather than practice law. In this position, I have the opportunity to ensure that employees work safely and return home safely to their families,” said Seelke.

Seelke holds an MBA from St. Louis University, a law degree from Washington University, and a degree in economics from the University of Central Missouri. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in Occupational Safety Management at the University of Central Missouri. Seelke is an MSHA Certified Trainer and has trained and developed many managers, supervisors and safety representatives.
